Registration continues for the 2009 ASA Borderline Bash to be held at Sugar Hollow Park in Bristol Virginia between August 8 and August 9, 2009. For those who haven’t participated in our past tournaments, Sugar Hollow is located one mile off Exit 7 of Interstate 81. The immediate area (within 1 mile) features several restaurants, motels, retail outlets and many forms of entertainment away from the softball fields.

Tournaments at Sugar Hollow are ASA Sanctioned and use certified ASA Umpires for all games. Age groups include 10U/12U/14U and 18U. Balls will be supplied by the director for all age groups. Cost for tournaments this year will be $180.00 with multi team/multi tournament discounts available. If you have any questions, please visit http://www.swva-asa.com or telephone 423-366-5364.

Sugar Hollow Park is located on 400 acres and offers 3 softball fields, miles of hiking tails, 100 picnic sites, 15 shelters, 75 camp sites and a pool is made available to visitors during the summer months. Registration for Spring Havoc will continue through 6:00 on April 29, 2009 with pool play schedules being published by 10:00 that evening. The bracket schedules will be available by Thursday Afternoon. It appears we will fill all available spots for 10U/12U and 14U.

The 2009 ASA Umpire Clinic will be held Sunday, April 5th. The cost of the certification will be $35. If you’re interested please give me a call at 423-366-5364.

The ASA Umpire Certification will be required for all officials at Sugar Hollow.
